Garage sales

Garage sales are a good way to make money and to clear things out that you need to. I have helped at many garage sales. I have also attended many garage sales. My In Laws had a garage sale before moving to the Keys. I helped out for the day and they gave me $50.00 dollars and lunch for helping out. I thought this was great. They got rid of so many things. If you put signs in good spots with good directions,you can get a good response,most of the time.

can recycling

My brother had a job collecting cans for recycling in order to earn some spending money for himself. He would go to these restaurants and collect the cans from their dumpsters. Sue and I would help him crush them. He would give us some of the profits. We all figured that it cleaned up the neighborhood as well as providing some financial reward. My dad was not always crazy about the mess though. We would have to make sure they were rinsed out as much as we could. The only thing is, That it takes a lot of cans to make it worth while. Chip and I used to do this too when we first met. There was a recycling machine in our neighborhood in which you could put the cans in yourself and get instant profits. This was nice. As I said, It takes a lot of cans to make it worth while.

Fudgesicle icecream

I made tasty fudgesicle icecream on Sunday. It was realy good. It is made with pudding and milk. After it is mixed, you store covered in the freezer. Chip had some last night. He did not cover the icecream. I hope it does not have freezer burn now. Itwas tasty and delicious. Next time, I am going to use fat free,sugar free pudding. This will make it better for you. It takes low fat milk. Chip liked the fudgesicle icecream. I will make it again some day. I want to try the other recipes included in the book.

adult choir

I started out in the children’s choir at my church. This was a lot

of fun. I remember going to 3 Easter services one year. Sunrise, then

two church services. I was ready to go home. I wanted to try to sneak out early and go home at 10:30. My mom would not let me. She had told my director, so she talked me into staying. I was starved by the time we got home. When I was ready for adult choir, that was the best.

I was able to be in choir with my mom. We went to rehearsal together and had a great mom and daughter experience or experiences,

I should say. I wasa soprano and she was an alto. We enjoyed being

in choir together. It made me feel more grown up.

Rootbeer barrel candy

My friend Wendy just bought a candy that I have not had in years.

They are Rootbeer barrels. They are pretty tasty. One of my favorite

soft drinks is rootbeer. The candy has a surprisingly good root-

beer taste to them. I may go out and buy a bag to have at the house myself. It is a classic candy, still delicious today. I remember

them when I was  kid. My family wer mostly chocolate lovers, but there were some other candies that were liked as well. Rootbeer

barrels happened to be one of my favorites. It is nice to stick to the classics.

Impacted wisdom tooth

When I was a teen, or rather in my early 20′s, impacted wisdom tooth. It hurt me so bad that it had to be pulled. I went to East lake Mall to have the work done. I had taken the bus to my appointment. Tey gave me novacaine, then some gas and put me totally out. They removed the tooth. I woke up shortly after. I had to put a gauze pad in my mouth in the removed tooth area. I was in pain. They told me what I could take, rather they gave me a pain medicine prescription. I had to call my dad and have him pick me up because of the pain. I did not want to wait for the bus. When I got home, I rested. The pain medicine made me really tired too. I needed the rest though. I was glad that I was relieved of the pain.

Dog parks

There is a dog park in Fort De Soto park. Pinellas county, I believe. It has a dog run for large dogs on one side and medium and small dogs on the other. They even have a little shower to cool or clean your dogs with. They have a beach where you can take your dogs swimming. We enjoyed hanging out there with Brandie. I took her to the beach. She was scared at first. She did go in though. She enjoyed the dog run best though. We ate lunch right near the beach. We walked around the rest of the park and saw the cannons they have at the park. It was a nice day at the dog park. I want to take her again some time next year again.
